As a New Yorker and as a woman who loves to get outside no matter the weather, I say the smart money is spent investing in a great coat. This one is from Damiani, a fabulous New York based designer that I recently discovered.
Inside Out! #ChiconFleek! A coat that goes both ways!
This coat is massive in every way. Massive warmth. Massive style. Massively useful. I'm wearing it on the psychedelic fur side for an instant touch of high glam for a night out where you need to make an entrance or a stadium outing for a concert or a game. What's so great is that you can turn this show stopper inside out and it's the height of street style sophistication because it has a sturdy black canvas shell and deep good and a beautiful plush frame around the face.
Foxy Momma! Seventies Style Reigns Supreme
For me the sexy slinky glamour of the disco era never ever gets tired. This season, metallics and lace like this sweatshirt cut lame top paired with Tracy Reece high waisted flares, that hug my curves like nobody's business. This is my go to for that holiday cocktail party, or last minute invite that you don't want to miss. You can throw it on quickly and be instantly fabulous.
Leopard is Always Festive
Never be afraid to mix leopard with black and white patterns. You have to try it with different things and take it on a case by case basis, but when it works it roars "I've got fearless style!".
My friend Christian Siriano made this dress and I am crushing on it so, so hard it's crazy! It's stretch satin so it moves when I move (including when I might have eaten a little too much) and the neckline has killer style for presentations and dinners where the décolleté is the focus of the outfit.
White Nights - Tone on Tone Looks Terrific Together
Tone on tone in cream tan and hunter green dominated the runways and all the European magazines for fall and winter. This alpaca blend top coat from the Gap is pure heaven. It's cozy, light weight, it's a steal plus it looks like a million bucks. I love dressing tone on tone dressing because the simplicity of the look let's hair, makeup and accessories take center stage and be the star of the ensemble. I went to town on the bronzer eyeliner and the earrings for my extra touch of holiday sparkle.
Drop me a line and let me know what makes you "go bling" when you're getting dressed for the holiday season.
